Garden Table

My garden table sits in a little corner of my kitchen, directly in front of the back door... easy access.

Everything I need is right at hand...
This was a table I purchased years ago, it spent
quite a bit of time outside...
now it has a great naturally aged look.

and so does the fence on the way to the door.

This is a sign to hang on the front door
when I'm working in the back.

The top of the table is lined with slate tiles for durability.

I use an old library card file to hold
my tools.

The cool rusty piece is part of an old
iron chair. The lantern used to be the
top to my outdoor light, it came down in a storm so
I re-purposed the top.

Sticks from the yard are made into
great seed markers.

The seeds came in a great kit

The hooks?
They are there because when there was
no garden table in this area, this was the "mud room".
I've since used every square inch of my house...

I made the potting shed sign in hopes
of having a potting shed some day.
For now a potting table will do.

I'm ready for some real spring!
How about you?

  6. Love you bench. I have a small one but it's outside and has nothing on it yet, too cold. I do have lots of seeds started inside and am anxious to get some things going outside. Hurry sunshine!!

  14. Your garden table and postting area are wonderful. I love this old table. When some of my grandmother's things came to me, there was an old library table that my great grandmother has obviously used as a potting table. There were spoons with dirt still attached inside the drawer.
