My Mother's Day Challenge

6:00:00 AM

What kind of Mother's Day gift can you make with a trophy?

Mother's Day is quickly approaching...
the Kindergarten teacher told me she had 25 of these....

What kind of Mother's Day gift could her
class make for their moms from these?....

I told her I would take it home and see what I
could come up with...
The first thing that came to my mind was of course,
"white spray paint!"

I painted it, added an organza ribbon
and a cute little tag.

I glued a piece of recycled packing foam
inside the trophy to hold a bunch of flowers...

The hydrangeas can be bought quite inexpensively
in a bouquet of about 8 stems.
Cut the flower stem short and glue it into the
foam block.

This is a project the Kindergarten class can do
themselves with a little help once the trophies are painted.

Here is the finished product...

I'm sure their Moms will be thrilled!

Put the gift in a cello bag and let the children
decorate the bag topper!
Happy Mother's Day!

  8. Susan, I am so loving this! Wish my son's 1st grade class had done this this year! :) I'm visiting from Songbirds' White Party. I read your "About Me" page and had to smile. We are so similar....crafty, jewelry making, junking, home decor. All my interests, too! Guess I'll just have to follow you!
