How to Make Driftwood Bathroom Towel Hooks

The towel bar in my daughter's bathroom didn't work!

Let me just preface this post by saying that I have
not 1 but

teenaged daughters sharing the same bathroom!

Not only was I not a fan of the shiny silver.

For some reason, none of the girls could hang up a towel!

Hard to believe I know.

It must be a design flaw with this towel bar.

So I'm going to try something new...

I removed the old towel bar by turning these little screws.

Then I removed the backing plate.

After adding hooks to a beautiful piece of driftwood I've
been saving for years.

I screwed it to the wall with very long screws.

And with any luck at all...

This towel holder is going to work!

Do you hear me girls????

Update: The towel bar worked for years! Girls moved out and the bathroom got a brand new makeover!
