When your fence is old and in pieces...
Sometimes you need to replace it...
Meet Wilson I mean Jim...
Jim doesn't like projects so
it's a good thing I was helping... a little...
it's a good thing I was helping... a little...
because things weren't as easy as they first seemed...
First of all for some reason all the nails were "defective"...

And the post wasn't quite wide enough...
Oops... missed...back it out...
It's a darn good thing homeroad doesn't have sound...
My plants, that were just coming up at the time,
got a little trampled in the construction.

The fence was in!
After all that, it's too bad the
neighbor got the good side!

Oh Susan. . . you are hilarious!!! Loved this post, and love your new fence! Enjoy! Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaha, "Wilson"! I still love catching that show, Susan! Nothing can ever be easy. Even putting up a fence!
ReplyDeleteYour new fence looks wonderful. I'm glad to see you were so helpful :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I really want to know is if you are going to make something cool out of the old fence pieces??
Jane
Hi Susan, I am so glad to see you finally did a project that I feel I could do. I could help Mr. P just like you helped "Wilson" (ha) with the fence. (too cute). Bet you were a great instructor also, huh? Fence looks great . Wish we had one all around our property. Guess I could call our homeplace a fort then, huh? Have a great weekend.

Ha ha...I was thinking exactly what Jane was thinking..."What's she gonna do with all that fun wood?" :) Looks great...enjoy! Laurel
ReplyDeleteYeah, another one here who thought I was going to see a project using the "reclaimed" boards. Silly me, 4 a.m. comes soon and I'm SURE you already have a project in mind!!! New fence looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOk, ok, you know I already had something in mind for some of those boards.... but Jim threw them out when I wasn't paying attention! Every board is gone! Luckily though, I see them on the side of the road a lot so I'll just pull over and get someone else's fence!
ReplyDeleteFunny! Fence looks great...so do your plants.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! This was adorable. And yeah... can ya ship the old one my way already?!?
ReplyDeleteShared this on FJI Facebook for SNS 85. :)
