Replacing the Fence

When your fence is old and in pieces...
Sometimes you need to replace it...
Meet Wilson I mean Jim...
Jim doesn't like projects so
it's a good thing I was helping... a little...
because things weren't as easy as they first seemed...
First of all for some reason all the nails were "defective"...
And the post wasn't quite wide enough...
Oops... missed...back it out...
It's a darn good thing homeroad doesn't have sound...
My plants, that were just coming up at the time
got a little trampled in the construction.
Lucky for him they're doing fine!
And at the end of the day....
The fence was in!
After all that, it's too bad the
neighbor got the good side!

What I really want to know is if you are going to make something cool out of the old fence pieces??

  4. Hi Susan, I am so glad to see you finally did a project that I feel I could do. I could help Mr. P just like you helped "Wilson" (ha) with the fence. (too cute). Bet you were a great instructor also, huh? Fence looks great . Wish we had one all around our property. Guess I could call our homeplace a fort then, huh? Have a great weekend.

  6. Yeah, another one here who thought I was going to see a project using the "reclaimed" boards. Silly me, 4 a.m. comes soon and I'm SURE you already have a project in mind!!! New fence looks wonderful.

  7. Ok, ok, you know I already had something in mind for some of those boards.... but Jim threw them out when I wasn't paying attention! Every board is gone! Luckily though, I see them on the side of the road a lot so I'll just pull over and get someone else's fence!

  12. Hope you kept the old fencing though I would not have been allowed lol they make great backs for benches and the signs that u could make out of all of them!! I have even thought of making a headboard for the spare bedroom out of fencing
