Glass Top Desk Goodies

6:00:00 AM

Here's a close-up look at the functional and very original desk in my office... Made with found and thrifted objects.

I gave you a little glimpse of it in my room update...
Now here is a closer look.
I used two old doors found on the side of the road, I put them together in an L shape and attached them to the top of an Ikea table. One side is for my computer, the other side is a workspace for crafting and my sewing machine.

This is the side I use for the computer,  I added glass to the top of the door. I couldn't help but fill the inside space with all kinds of fun thrift store finds, important papers and embellishments.

I found vintage movie reels and their cases,
shells, numbers, keys, old post cards, stamps and tickets...
(thanks graphic fairy.)

An old rusty barbell with a crown dish on top.
The dish has a hole in it for a knob.

I love that I can add to it and change it up any time
I want to just by popping off the glass and switching out the inside.
