Refashioned Laundry Hamper

I decided I needed to update a laundry basket I recently found on the side of the road.

It started out looking like this...

I thought at worst I could use the wooden frame for something.


So I took off the fabric and stained the wooden frame with a vinegar and steel wool solution.

You can see it working the minute it touches the raw wood.

It's looking better already! 


The antiqued color change is amazing!

Much to my delight the fabric under the baby design was this beautifully textured, off-white fabric.

The possibilities at this point were endless but I had a piece leftover from another project, so I'm going with that.


I stamped on the #12 and attached it to the bag.
