This time my fabulous find was not for my home...
Out on my nightly walk with the girls, flashlights in hand, we ran across a pile of construction debris outside someone's house...
And because we are just that kind of girls...
we began picking through it...
How happy was I when we ran across 2 giant boxes of rolled paper...
It is actually wallpaper liner...
Dozens of huge, heavy-weight rolls of paper!!!!!
Yee Ha!
I'm thinking my Pre K Classroom!!!!
It was in school with me before you could say
FREE STUFF!
I slid a heavy ribbon through the hole and tied it
to the easel in my classroom...
We are so excited to have this free supply of awesome
heavy-weight easel paper!
Aren't they the best artists you've ever seen!
The moral of this story is....
Always bring a flashlight
when you go walking garbage picking at night!

That is a great find, and a cute story. I'm sure the kids will spend lots of days enjoying creating.
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at that; it's wonderful you found it and were able to use it in your classroom, Susan. Maybe contractors should be made aware that this type of thing can be used by others and not thrown away.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great find! It's so nice to see things given a purpose rather than thrown away. I wish more people would get involved with freecycle.org because all those used materials are on someone's want list!
ReplyDeleteOh wow - just perfect for you! That was a find indeed.
ReplyDeletePlease tell Brooke she got the picture perfect, I always match my lipstick to my hair just like that.
