DIY Up-Cycled Drawstring Bags

Creating from side-of-the-road castoffs isn't all I do...

Believe it or not, at one point in my life I even made my own wedding gown.


That's a story for another day.

For this project I up-cycled a pair of white capri pants that had great texture.

By cutting on the dotted lines like in the photo below, I created 4 bags.

I sewed a couple of seams along the bottom and top then ran natural colored, vintage seam binding through the hem.

I gave each bag a French stamp using StazOn Ink.


This ink pad is great to use on fabric and it "stays on"!

The re-cycled bags can be used for shoe bags, travel, 
lingerie, or cosmetics.

This is a great up-cycled project with little or no cost.
