Florence Trays

Thrift store find ala Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...

Florence is one of my new favorite colors....
it is a beautiful greenish-blueish color.

I painted these trays with 2 coats of Florence, distressed the edges,
then gave them a coat of dark wax. Hint: Dark
wax moves around smoother if you apply a coat of clear wax first.

My favorite part of these thrift store trays are the
 big, black, iron handles...

A great find and now a treasure.
Nice to know there is more to life than white paint.

  14. What thrift store do you shop at? I'd better get to it. It would be a rare ocurrence to find something that awesome at any of our thrift stores. (Grand Junction,CO and Fruita, CO.) As you do I love the iron handles. Trying to figure out how we could make something similar by hand. The color is so pretty, sure popular now. Happy Weekend
