Thrift Store Bowls

Thrift store bowls take on a new life...

You know the ones, they're everywhere!

The wooden salad bowls that nobody wants anymore.

Well I wanted them!

I started out by cutting one in half.

Then I screwed and glued them to the front panel
of an old wine crate.

You can see the indent of the printing through the paint.

A coat or 2 of Annie Sloan Chalk paint later...

then distressing and a little dark wax to bring out the
lettering on the wine crate.

Add a handle... (it's actually a metal zero but works for me!)

And I've changed those old bowls into a rustic wall hanging.

Fill them with flowers or make-up or keys or something for your kitchen.

Any other ideas?
