Creating a Grain Sack Pillow

This post is for everyone that emailed me asking about
the red striped pillow shown in my header...

This beautiful super-sized pillow was
too good to pass up on clearance even though
I didn't own a pillow large enough to fit inside....

The pillow case had beautiful detail!
It was originally over $100!

The $10 price tag was good enough for me!

A quick no-sew fix was all it needed...

I put a pillow inside that was roughly half the size
as the pillow case...

I folded the case in half around the pillow and used velcro to secure the fold...

That is all it took and now that clearance find is perfect as an
accent pillow on the bed!

Just thinking outside of that box again!

Sneak peek:
In this small space I'm using a red step ladder as a side table...
I attached license plates to the steps to give them
more surface area to hold the alarm clock and the tissue box.

  3. Ahhhh the amazing velcro trick. I have to make some no sew pillows soon for my son's room. No sew cuz I can't sew. Fabric glue, adhesive tape, and now velcro on my shopping list.

  4. Aha...my wish came true. The tutorial of that eye catching pillow. Now, I have to see if I can find one or just bite the bullet and make one from scratch. Either way...what an inspiration! Thank you for showing us how.
