Tin Tile Flower Pocket

Inspiration for this project came from
a fellow blogger...

Meegan at What Meegan Makes...
on her door all dressed up for Valentine's Day.

I loved the metal pocket and right away
I thought about some tin tiles I had
leftover from another project...

I could make that!

or at least something similar...

I began by putting two tiles back to back and drilled
holes in a few places so I could attach them.

Using thick wire I ran it through the through the holes
and created a loop.

When the tiles were attached in several places I added a handle
then bent the tiles to form a pocket.

I painted both sides with a few coats of Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint, right over the wire loops and all...

The resulting pocket is a great shabby chic
design to hold flowers on the door...

or leave it simple like mine.

Happy Valentine's Day!
