I really can't help myself...

I think it's a problem...

No... not the coffee.  And not a real problem, problem... more like a creative problem.

An "I can't see things for what they are" kind of problem.

I'm always messing with things... "What else can I turn this into?"

This morning instead of putting the top back on that basket of coffee... I decided it needed to be something else.

Come on... I'm sure you think the same thing at 6 in the morning....

So I did...

Turned it into something else.

Today... before I even finished my coffee.

Yep, the top of that coffee basket is now a rockin' message center.

(and the coffee basket has no top)

The first thing I did, after I made myself a cup of coffee that is...

was to find a frame in the WORKSHOP

I had an antique frame insert with old fabric tape on it... I gave it a quick coat of milk paint.

When the frame dried I turned it over and screwed the chicken wire basket top into the frame.

Then I cut a piece of chalkboard... yes, you can buy chalkboard already made, see it HERE

I stained small clothespins with THIS SOLUTION to give them an aged look.

They will be used to clip memos and photos to the chicken wire.

A small piece of wood was painted black and attached to the frame to hold chalk.

So I do really think something is wrong with me...

I have no idea why I just can't sit down with a cup of coffee and watch the morning news...

It's a cool project I will admit.

And I will sell it in MY SHOP in no time...

So I guess there really isn't too much of a problem...
