A Garden Sign with Sexy Legs

Welcome to my garden with a beautifully stenciled repurposed footed sign.

I've gotten a lot of requests for more information about my sign with the sexy legs so here goes...

I began this sign project like any other sign I make... using a piece of reclaimed wood.

This time I'm using one of my very favorite stencils from the Old Sign Stencils Garden Collection.

I'm returning to this project to give you more details on the footed sign I created for another garden sign post.

Those gorgeous legs were spindles removed from an old headboard.

I trimmed one side of the spindle with the chop saw and drilled a hole in the end just large enough to insert a metal rod.

The spindles were then attached to the sign board.

I painted the entire piece with Fusion Mineral Paint then began to stencil.

My new sign sits securely in the ground thanks to the metal rods at the end of the legs.
