Pallet Wood Repurposed Three Times

This is a project that has been repurposed
not once but three times.

Repurposed pallet wood into an American Flag
This project began life many years ago as a wooden three legged saw horse.

Not in need of a saw horse, let alone a three legged one, I cut it up and created a pallet.

I loved the chippy paint on the wood so I left it alone and created a sign using the original patina of the saw horse.

You can read about this pallet sign {here}.

All you need is love pallet sign

After a while I grew tired of this look so when I needed wood to create a flag for the Fourth of July I repurposed this piece.

Time went on and this pallet flag was left outside all winter... oops.

So when I was looking for wood for another project I repurposed this saw horse wood one more time. If you look closely you can see the lettering under the chippy flag colors.

I pulled apart the pallet and sealed the chippy wood with Miss Mustard Seed's Tough Coat sealer. This keeps the chips from chipping any more.

I used the chippy wood to make a box with a thin wooden base.

The box was perfect as my third project, it turned out to be just the right size to hold the newly stenciled signs I made from an old wine crate.

So sometimes when one project doesn't work out, that doesn't mean you can't repurpose it one more time!
