Craft Fair Projects and Displays
7:40:00 AM
Today marks my 5th craft fair at our local library.
Every year I have new projects, try new things, and repeat what was successful.
If you're looking for craft fair inspiration, here it is...
I started with this space in our local library. When I first saw it, I had my doubts!
But here is what I did... I began with a long, thin table. This is a busy spot because it is a narrow hallway with people passing back and forth. That is the good news... if they see something they like... they have to pass by again.
I brought over all my items in wooden crates. After unloading my goodies I stacked the crates against the wall.
I used large clamps to hold some of the crates together so there would be no accidents.
I was lucky enough to also have a tiny corner to use so I brought over a small table to fill with even more goodies.
The fair was 2 days long, hundreds of people came through and purchased Christmas items. Many told me they come back year after year to find me and my projects. Thank you that means so much to me!
Here are some of the things I made that sold really well...

Vintage Ruler Stars... I could have sold 100 of these!
Snowman ornaments using paint sticks and Jenga blocks.
The fair was once again a complete success for Homeroad.
I went home with about 1/3 of the Christmas ornaments
and projects I brought over.
The rest will be going to one more local fair in about 2 weeks. You can bet I will be busy creating more repurposed projects to add to the fun!

Love your vintage ornaments. Like you, I use Scrabble tiles for ornaments and to display "verbage" for holiday decorating. Love the faucet handle ornaments.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for sharing your best sellers and even posting the how-to's. So generous of you. I must say I admire your many clever ideas - esp. ornaments from recycled items. Always so cool!
