Newsworthy box

9:46:00 PM

I had this great old cigar box.

Just a little too plain don't you think?

At one time I decoupaged the top...

But I have a better idea...

I gave it a good ol' coat of white paint...

I left the inside au' natural...
I didn't want to lose the original label.

It needed something... My first thought was a number...

...did that already...
My next thought was a book page.
I just got this great book that was perfect!

The book is full of front pages from the New York Times dating from 1920-1975.
I picked a page at random,
cut it out, and decoupaged it
to the top of the box.

...and here it is finished !

It came out beautifully and is perfect to use in my bathroom for makeup.
