My Mother's Day Challenge

6:00:00 AM

What kind of Mother's Day gift can you make with a trophy?

Mother's Day is quickly approaching and the Kindergarten teacher at my school told me she had 25 of these.

What kind of Mother's Day gift could her class make for their moms from these?

I told her I would take it home and see what I could come up with.

The first thing that came to my mind was of course, "white spray paint!"

I painted it, added an organza ribbon and a cute little tag.

I glued a piece of recycled packing foam inside the trophy to hold a bunch of flowers.

The hydrangeas can be bought quite inexpensively in a bouquet of about 8 stems.

Cut the flower stem short and glue it into the foam block.

This is a project the Kindergarten class can do themselves with a little help once the trophies are painted.

Here is the finished product...

I'm sure their Moms will be thrilled!

Put the gift in a cello bag and let the children
decorate the bag topper!
Happy Mother's Day!
