A Large Architectural Room Divider
I was making my weekly trek to the
neighborhood Salvation Army.
And as I pulled up there was a big truck outside.
They were loading or unloading furniture, I couldn't tell which.
I spied this big thing with a lot of architectural charm looking like it was being taken off the truck.
It looked like white oak and it had beautiful carvings,
the thing was massive!
I quickly asked if they were selling it but at that point had
no idea what it was that I wanted to buy.
The manager said, "Yes, how about $25.00?".... but I'd have to hurry because it was going on this truck right now.
Ok! I'll take it! 15 minutes later.
Here it is in my garage...
it weighs about 100 lbs and is 7' tall and 6' wide!!
And here it is in my living room.
We have this big opening between the living room where
we watch TV and the rest of the noisy house, we tried to block off the room with a curtain. But how great is this!!!
Luckily I spoke up fast or this baby would be on it's way to
"who knows where" on a truck.
Sometimes it pays to speak up!
Update:
According to my sister-in-law, it was upside-down (duh!).
I flipped it over and it looks even better with the
heavy molding on the bottom! I think she might be right this time! 😂
