Curbside Crusaders

6:00:00 AM

My neighbor ladies and I walk....
we walk for exercise, we walk to chat.

We walk to get out of the house for a little while...

But on Sunday nights.... We walk for junk!

We find curbside "treasures" on our walks.

Sometimes after a garage sale,
sometimes just after a day of someone cleaning house.

We find really good things on the side of the road.

This was tonight's haul...

We think of it as our little way of saving the planet.
We bring all the stuff back and re-purpose it.

Spray paint that planter??
Put a plant in that watering can??

Watch me turn that tripod into an awesome floor lamp!

Crazy? Maybe,
but we have a lot of laughs and re-cycle while we're at it!

  3. You are singing my song! I LOVE what I call "trash picking!" I have gotten more amazing stuff off of people's junk pile! In fact in a fw minutes, I will be posting a reveal of an upcycle of just that...a trash pick!!! lol Can't wait to see the lamp. I can totally picture it. Neato find.:)

  4. I think it's great that you have like minded people you can do that with, Susan! I think you got some great pieces. Back in NY the best night for something like that was Wednesdays because it was "bulk pick up" on Thursday morning.
