How to Make Antique Shoe Stretcher Hooks

I found this great pair of vintage wooden shoe stretchers.

I thought they'd make great unique wall hooks.

This part was just crying out to be a hook.

And the Brooks Brothers agreed.

Step one was to hinge them together because they
bent in half easily.

I thought they should be monogrammed with my husband and my initials so I used stickers as my stencils.

I stuck on the stickers and traced around them.

Then I painted inside the lines.

The next step was to distress the letters to match the old wood.

I added a hanger to the top of the shoes and they were ready to hang.

I hope you're hooked too!
