Recycled Glass and a Pedestal

I love all things recycled glass.

How psyched was I when I found the most beautiful
recycled glass drink dispenser!

My everyday dishes are all recycled glass.

and so are my glasses.

So the drink dispenser was perfect!

Almost.

The problem with this little lovely was that
you had to put it at the edge of the table to get the glass under it.

I looked for a pedestal in the Pottery Barn catalog, they would all work very nicely... only the least expensive one was $19.00. I want free.

What if I make one?!

I used an old white sturdy bowl for the base.

and a square plate with upturned edges for the top.

I attached them together with E6000 glue and painted it with white primer, it sticks to ceramics and has a nice flat finish.

It worked!

I got the same results for no cost.

And now the glasses fit very nicely under the spigot.

I swear it makes the water with lemon taste even better!
