My Favorite Mystery Gadget

6:28:00 PM

This thrifted find turns out to be one of my favorites....

It holds hot dishes.

It can hold almost any shape dish because it stretches...

I love that it adds industrial style to my white dishes.

So far I've found 2.

One has a bakelite handle and the other does not, it is probably missing.

I have these mystery gadgets stacked with my dishes in the hutch for easy access because I use them all the time.

They are not only great for hot dishes but cold as well.

It carries the dish to the table with style.

If anyone knows what this is called, I'd love to know.

I will be keeping my eye out for more!

  1. well, how cool is that! I've never seen anything like it, so of course I have no idea what it's called.
My favorite find was a .99 cent hamburger press. Old and steel of some sort. LOVE it!

  2. Hi Susan, I have 3 or 4 of these expandable accordian casserole carriers that I ordered from some mail order catalog several years ago. I recently used one to take a dish to pass at a church function and it was the envy of all the ladies in the kitchen. Everyone wanted to know where they could get one. They are perfect for any size dish, so convenient. I've seen them for sale more recently on Etsy. Hugs,
