Our Visit to the Country Living Fair
My friends and I visited the Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck yesterday!
After the free giveaway for weekend passes to the fair on my blog last week, a winner was chosen and we were on our way!
The fair was fabulous but the friends... priceless!
We drove up to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds from Long Island in just a few hours... with my navigators by my side we had no trouble an easy time finding our way.
As we changed the conversation several times from getting old and fat to what cool things we would find at the fair when we got there, the ride went quickly.
The first stop... the ladies room!
Second stop... shopping!!
In the first barn we all bought matching straw baskets to carry our stash and for the beach this summer!
The fair was filled with treasures and we came home with quite a few of our own.
These wooden blueberry crates were awesome!
Wooden ladders and signs were everywhere!
A topiary dog? If you know me you know this is the breed for me!
and the base into a bird feeder.
This adorable little birdhouse was sold on spindles as well but I brought the birdhouse home and added my own chippy spindle for the garden.
And my own personal favorite... a vintage metal picnic basket that went home with me to add to my collection.
Then totally exhausted and with a full trunk filled with treasures
we set out for the long ride home.
It was a beautiful day!
Thanks so much for visiting and before you go please sign up for the Homeroad emails so I can send my latest DIY tutorial straight to you!
I was so tempted to go but with a house full of visitors this weekend I had to pass. Too bad, what great treasures you came home with!!
