DIY Stenciled Christmas Buffalo Check Vintage Sled

Today I'm stenciling a vintage sled with
one of my favorite stencils.

Stenciled Christmas Buffalo Check Vintage Sled

I began with a vintage sled I've had laying around for a long time.

Be sure to pay attention to the bold red lettering as you read for more Homeroad information and the products I used for this project.

I painted it with one coat of Fusion Mineral Paint in coal black.

The one coat of coal black gave the sled a great black stained effect as the paint absorbed into the dry wood.

Next I pounced on red craft paint on my favorite buffalo check stencil by Old Sign Stencils.

These stencils are heavy duty and will last through hundreds of projects.

It's easy to do with a tiny amount of paint in a tray and a sponge pouncer

I was finished in just a few minutes and I let the paint dry.

I reattached the original rope and added a red bow and greenery.

The whole project took less than an hour and looks amazing!
