Hey! Anyone out there a fan of vintage hangers? 
I sure am and today I'm going to show you how I've used them to create easy DIY projects as well as using them in my home for decoration for storage and for organizing! 
Vintage hangers are easy to find at garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores. 
You can get all kinds at great prices and if you're really lucky you may find some with vintage signage on them!

I just love a cloche around anything! 
I've made so many through the years, each one just a little bit different than the next. 
Today while cleaning out the shed, I ran across a roll of wire fence. 
I was about to throw it in the garbage and then had an idea!

Today's project is a fun one if you're thinking of getting your garden ready! It isn't too hard to do either. 
All you need for this project is a brick and some paint. You can use paint sticks or paint and a brush!
These bricks are adorable and will look amazing in your garden!

Have you seen the beautiful frames people are putting around their wall mounted televisions? They put a screen saver on the screen and it looks like a gorgeous painting in their living rooms. 
This gave me an idea... Of course it did...
My office is quite eclectic. Right now I have several vintage gold frames hanging on the wall so I thought "Hey... why not make a frame for the small TV I have hanging on the wall."
And so I did...

My inspiration came today from a high end catalog that was sent to my house... and why would I order from a high end catalog when I can get the look for less!? 
I began this project by repurposing an old framed bulletin board I had in the basement. 
At one point I painted everything I could find a chalky white but my tastes have changed and I'm very into the vintage gold and brass look lately.

This is a fun story today...
I saw this beautiful vintage gold frame at the thrift store last week. It had a lot of damage and I thought it was fixable but it was full price and frankly... I don't do full price, especially on things I hope I can fix. 
The vintage gold frame had a matted Claude Monet print in it called The Water Lily Pond. This painting always reminds me of the three year old class that did their own versions of this painting when I was teaching preschool.

Yep! You read that right... coffee grounds. 
I've seen people make clay from scratch using instant coffee but today I'm experimenting with store bought air dry clay and coffee grounds. 
You know, the grounds leftover from making a pot or cup of coffee. 
Other than using them in the garden, I was sure there must be other good uses for it so here goes...

It's almost time to start thinking about the next season and here I am still making pumpkins! 
My house is decorated for Fall, it is Fall, almost time to start thinking about Christmas and still I can't stop seeing pumpkins in everything I do. 
Today I started out making something else and before I knew it... I was making a pumpkin!

Good Morning! Today I'm working on a Mackenzie-Childs™inspired cheese tray. 
Back in the day I was a huge fan of MC, I think it was the black and white checks that drew me in. 
These days I'm a little more neutral but still a fan of the graphic black and white designs so when I saw their Courtly cheese tray I knew it was something I wanted to try.

Now this is a cute project! For all you string and twine holder lovers like me out there. 
I just love a DIY string holder. I think the texture of all the different strings and twines is gorgeous!

I couldn't help myself. When I saw this not so pretty Christmas birdhouse in the thrift store for $1.00 I had to take it home and give it a makeover. 
I don't usually do makeovers just for the heck of it but this one was different. 
I knew the snow on that Christmas birdhouse was perfect for a Spring makeover. 
Do birds even use birdhouses at Christmas? Hmmm not in this neck of the woods. 😂

I saw a wooden bunny crate with 2 wooden bunnies on each end in a shop recently and it reminded me of the baskets I used to make back in the early 80's. 
They aren't kidding when they say what comes around goes around! 
Today I decided to make one... again. Only this time I'm using a repurposed old sign that I never finished.

I'm pretty sure this project took me about 10 minutes to make and it is absolutely awesome! 
First of all it looks vintage. 
Secondly, it serves a purpose. 
And third, it looks great just sitting around on a shelf!

If you saw one of my recent posts on how to make a textured bunny then you'll know that I reached for a tin ceiling tile and realized I was out of them. 
At the time I made an adorable rusty textured bunny instead and today I'm going to create the tin ceiling bunny I had set out to make and it is just in time for Spring.
