Today I'm repurposing an old project. I do that every now and then when I don't use the original project anymore. 
I made a coat rack for the bottom of my stairs that goes with the decor of my house and is super simple. 
The original project was made with scrap wood so other than the hooks I bought from Amazon, this project was almost free! Twice!

I'm repurposing one of the tiered shelves from the Target dollar spot. I think we all have one or at least I see a ton of them in the thrift stores.

Where have you been Homeroad?
It's been weeks since my last post, it's been a hot summer and well frankly, I've been totally unmotivated.
Here's a project I've had on the back burner for a while now and if you're a fan of argyle you'll love this one. 
The best part is that this project can be used several ways!

Summer is the season of American flags in our country. 
Today's project can be done using an  American flag on a stick or any small flag you want to display.

It's been a while since I've used any of the cabinet doors I found a couple of years ago. I love repurposing cabinet doors, they are such a blank canvas! 

Sometimes when you need something you have to make it yourself.

Do you ever shop your home? I mean rather than the thrift shop or clearance aisle? Shop for things in your closets and cupboards that you may not always use? Well I did today when I saw a photo in a magazine, I knew I could reproduce the wall shelf with a tray I had in my kitchen. 

Have you seen these great round shelves on Fixer Upper? Do you want to get that look for almost nothing? Those round shelves Joanna fills with plants or knick-knacks are beautiful and I've figured out how to make them myself and save money too!

A while back I made a key organizer from an old chair my daughter was throwing away. 

The idea for this project came to me when I  found this old cubbie shelf I had hidden in the basement. 
I began by removing the top panel and sliding out the back panel of the box. 

I saw the cutest little Farmhouse shelf on an Antique Farm House email and I wanted to build one just like it for myself. 

Today I'm repurposing another cabinet door into a shelf for small craft supplies in the craft room. Thank goodness for the stash of old cabinet doors I came across recently because they are good for just about every DIY project.  I had an old shelf I was using to hold small craft supplies but they kept falling through the back of the shelf.
Here is my workshop if you would like a quick little tour. I also 
made a few cute painted rugs on the floor of the workshop when the paint spills got to be too much.

A repurposed cabinet door is going to quickly solve this problem. 
I began by attaching the shelf to the very plain cabinet door with wood glue and the nail gun.

This project began when I cleaned out the basement  last weekend.

then this post is for you! Old shutters are easy to find at thrift stores and on the side of the road. 

Vintage windows are being used everywhere and when a friend dropped off a few to me, there was  no shortage of ideas out there.
