A shutter shelf with vintage style.
Don't throw away those old shutters you find on the side of the road...
or the ones that used to be on your windows....
they can have a new life.
I come across old shutters all the time... and here is what I do with them...
I began by adding 2 shelves with a piece of molding underneath for a bracket.
I screwed the shelves to the shutter from under the shelf and from the back.
When the shelves were secured I painted the entire piece with
Fusion Mineral Paint in
Lily Pond.
Fusion Mineral Paint is great for my projects.
Requires no sanding or priming and the best part is there is no need to seal the paint.
When the paint was dry I distressed using fine sandpaper.
Aged clothespins hold notes and photos to the shutters.
