Today I'm using a piece of scrap wood leftover from a project I did with my daughter to create a beautiful Fall decoration you can use many ways. 
The piece was a simple piece of primed moulding that was about 3" wide.  
This project can be made with different kinds of scrap wood to create different-sized candy corn.
I'm displaying the candy corn I made two ways today.

Recently I ran across a very cute birdhouse nesting box at my local grocery store. 
I thought about buying it, it was a very good price but upon closer investigation it was made from a very cheap wood product that I didn't think was going to last very long. 
I took a few photos and brought them home because I knew I had some cedar scraps in my workshop.

Today I'm creating the cutest large pallet wood Christmas tree for you! 
Well actually not pallet wood, it was leftover wood that secured a large box for furniture, I guess you could call it pallet wood. Wood from an actual pallet will do the same. 
Anyway, I created as I went with not much of a plan here and was pleasantly surprised in the end when I had a large sturdy, rustic wooden Christmas tree that I loved!

Today's project is a fun one! I grabbed a bunch of old tools and reclaimed pieces of wood to create a Santa and Tree. 
I didn't let the fact that I am completely out of wood stop me from making this project. 
I used what I had and these rustic decorations couldn't be cuter!

After seeing a cute little round one at Target I decided it would be really easy to make myself. 
This project was easy to make using a table jigsaw but could also be made using a hand saw. You could even get a family member to cut this simple shape for you.

I finally got it done! I built the kitchen silverware organizer I've always wanted. This was an easy project and I love the new easy organization!

In an attempt to save money and to stay out of the stores, I sometimes recycle my projects. Yes, I said it. A project that didn't sell or I didn't love, or I am just tired of gets pulled apart, cut apart, and used again! 

Sometimes when you need something you have to make it yourself.

This fun project uses the remnants of another wooden DIY project I just finished. I found rough hewn wood, the most rustic and least expensive wood in the wood department,  is found at Home Depot.  I bought a 6' piece for my last project and today I'm using the rest! 
I cut my board to the size I needed with a small circular saw then used a jigsaw to cut out a simple handle for my bread board. 
I drilled a hole into the top of the handle so I could add twine for hanging. 

I stained my wood with my very favorite stain... Rustoleum Transformations. 
I bought it at Home Depot. 

You just brush it on and wipe it off for the perfect coverage. 

As you can see I use it all the time and I'm definitely ready for a new can myself!
