Have you ever seen a circle canvas?
Never!
But on a trip to Hobby Lobby, I was in search of something to use for a transfer I bought recently.
I found a circular canvas that was perfect!



I began this project by painting the canvas with Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk, it's my very favorite white color.

I let the paint dry then used a Chalk Couture transfer I purchased recently and silk screened it onto the circle.

The next step was to stencil the center of the canvas using the Milk and Cream stencil from Knick of Time.

This new year I'm taking more time to do things for myself.

I had the opportunity recently to visit an old haunt  and while there happened upon a treasure!

When you save everything, you are bound to go looking for it some day. 

The set of hammered metal trays I bought at the thrift store  were perfect for this quilted stencil project. 

The wooden cheese box was cool as it was but when I began painting I discovered a mystery. 

This plain little planter was from the dollar section at Target and is now adorable.

When my customers want to know if I can make something they've seen on the internet for them, I usually say yes!

Susan I am but "lazy" is not a word in my vocabulary...


I love to keep busy and I love to create...

Today I'm using a large wooden platevery much like this one I found at the thrift store. You could use any kind of plate or platter. 




I gave the plate a coat ofblack chalky paint then a coat of White over the top when the black dried. 
I used 220 grit sand paper to lightly sand off some of the white so the Graphite showed through.


Using one of my favorite Vintage Sign Stencils from Knick of Time.
I used the black paint once again to stencil the image onto the plate. 
When the stencil was dry I sealed the paint.

A simple burlap frame becomes fabulous!

A couple vintage oak cabinet doors were dropped off at my house and  I had a couple of great ideas for them.


I began by filling the holes from the old hardware and stripping off the veneer in the center panel that had bubbled.
I drilled holes on each side and added old wooden handles I had in my shop.

The tray got a couple of coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Lamp White. It's a beautiful white with a greyish-blue undertone.



When the paint dried I gave the edges a heavy distressing with sandpaper to give the tray an old worn look.
I'm using a Milk and Cream stencil from Knick of Time.   Angie's Vintage Sign Stencils are beautiful and the large selection of farmhouse stencils are perfect for my projects.
