This project began with a trip to Michaels this weekend. I ran across the cutest velvet mushrooms that were 60% off. 
I showed the mushrooms to my daughter who said "Mom, you could make those, just look at them and see how they were made."
And so I did. 
I gathered recycled supplies from around the house and got to work creating the cutest mushrooms that can be displayed at Christmas or all year round!

Hi Friends! I'm at it again, creating another recycled fabric, no sew pillow for those that want to make it quick and easy with no sewing machine.

I hate the idea of waste and many times that is clearly evident at the grocery store! 
Our town has done away with plastic grocery bags and that was a great start but I've always wondered why they still have the smaller plastic bags to bring home produce. 
Trader Joes uses compostable bags made from 100% biodegradable materials but many of the other grocery stores still use plastic. 
This got me wondering what else I could use to carry home my produce.

Today's project was one I've been hoping to do for a long time now. 
I have an outdoor pouf/ottoman that I no longer need and rather than get rid of it, I'd like to give it a makeover and use it inside. 
At first I wasn't sure just how I was going to go about making the cover but I figured it out as I went and now I'm going to show you how...

If you're following along you may have seen me create pumpkins from the fabric scraps I gathered from a rag placemat.  Today I'm using more of those rags to create a no-sew pumpkin appliqué for a pillow cover and I have to say I love it!

I just hate to throw anything away, especially if I like it. Beautiful fabric is really hard to get rid of because there are so many things you can do with it. Recently I had to repurpose a stained table runner my daughter gave me so I turned it into something both stylish and useful. 

I may be losing it a little with this project, or so my daughter has told me.  I saw a tote like this at a fair one time and when my other daughter, (I have 4) got chickens, this project was well on its way! 

I've had this basket laying around for years. Since we live by the ocean, I'm was sure it held thousands of clams at one time.  But lately I've heard others say it was a vintage egg basket. Whatever you call it, I've been thinking about creating a liner for it for a long time now and I came up with a great idea that can work for almost any basket.
