Today I'm doing a project that uses all the clothespins you've been hanging onto. Today I'm creating wooden clothespin snowflakes and stars with a junky twist!

I've been on the lookout lately for something to keep my large summer earrings organized and after searching the stores and the internet I decided to make my own. 

I haven't been doing big earrings lately because they are usually very heavy.  When I found these incredibly light earrings I had to have more and when I couldn't find the colors I was looking for, I had an idea! 

I was super disappointed when one of my favorite sparkly, chunky necklaces broke. Should I repair it or use the pieces for something else?

Do you love to organize? If you're like me and you are a DIYer then you're going to love this project! It all started with a chair leg and a wall mounted candle holder from the thrift store.

If you wear headbands then you know how hard it is to find someplace to keep them. Do you pile them in the drawer? Throw them in a basket? I found the perfect solution at the thrift store! 

Everyone can use a little jewelry organization, especially at my house.  I am the lucky mother of four daughters. The last one is off to college but left behind a pile of jewelry on her dresser.  Since I have a bunch of cabinet doors to repurpose, I thought she could use my next DIY project in her room. 

I began with an oak cabinet door. You can find them at your local Habitat store, the hardware store, or if you're lucky on the side of the road. My stash of cabinet doors came from a store closing and I was lucky enough to be there to grab some.

I had to get creative when it came to organizing my large collection of long necklaces. 

Enamelware is my absolute favorite! 

Every so often I run across a piece of junk that  gets me excited!

And today, this one was it! 
It came from my daughter's new apartment.

This chandelier was replaced and tossed out the door and onto the fence, it was just hanging there until I came along. 
I just knew this would be a fun project!
First I removed every piece of dirty, dingy glass bling and soaked them in dish soap for a few hours. 

Trust me you will be seeing these beauties again real soon!
And now for the rest of the lamp... I bet you think I tossed it, that ugly, filthy brass.

Nope! First I grabbed a couple pieces to repurpose... yes I did. 
I took apart this part of the lamp then put the pieces back together so it sat on a stand which was the piece that hung on the ceiling before. 

When I found this lovely lady she was a nobody. 

Assembling bits and pieces of broken furniture and found objects is one of my favorite repurposing projects.

Today the legs have a new life as part of a jewelry display. My friend Deb from Maake & Co. Jewelry showed me  a picture of a jewelry display she liked.

I knew I could create something similar so I got to work. 
The legs from the old table were perfect for the sides of the display. 

I used bits and pieces from broken things I keep in my workshop.

I painted the piece with MudPaint in Manor White to marry all the parts and give it a cohesive look.  The MudPaint is fabulous, it covers in one coat and there is almost no need for sanding or priming.
I gave the jewelry display a wash of French Linen Chalk Paint over the MudPaint to add age. …
