Smelly Little Pumpkin Potpourri


How adorable are these little pumpkins????

Beware of bad photos!  They were taken a long time ago! 


They are called putka (pudka) pods and if you don't know about them already, I'm here to introduce you!

They are miniature pumpkin shaped seed pods from India. and are used for holiday decoration and crafts.

These are new to me but let me tell you.... they are adorable!  


And they smell great too! 


Like cinnamon!


The pods I bought are died orange and look exactly like little pumpkins. 


I've also seen them in yellow, red and green for fall decorating.

I added a photo of a black crow and the pods to this mason jar and it makes a great Halloween photo display!

There are a zillion decorating ideas for these little cuties!


How about adding them to a wreath or stringing them like cranberries for garland?

    Thank you for featuring my pods and shoppe! It is very nice of you. They are such great little accents for fall.I have them in wooden bowls and trenchers and around candles all over my home for a touch of color and scent.

  15. Those look like fun. I've never heard of them. I love little pumpkin things and I love cinnamon smells in the fall so these sound like a perfect combination. I wonder if I could find some locally.
