DIY Garden Bird Feeders
My yard is filled with garden junk and I love to keep the birds happy with birdhouses and feeders.
How to Make Newsprint Pumpkins
My idea for this project began with a few less than spectacular dollar store pumpkins.
My first thought was to just add vintage hardware parts and create stems on these beauties... but no.
That fix sure wasn't working, it needed something else... 1. Creating the old newspaper look... I decided to cut up an old book and decoupage small pieces of yellowed book pages to the pumpkins.
While I liked the decoupaged pumpkins so much better, the stems were still not right. 2. A repurposed stem... I dug deep into my stash of metal lamp parts and came up with pieces that did the trick.
These stems were perfect. I used E6000 to glue the metal pieces to the pumpkins for a funky vintage metal stem.
3. Applying a sealer... I applied a clear, matte spray sealer to the pumpkins for protection.
