Hallway Project & Where to Get New Ceiling Lights
This floor and the hallway project have long been on our to do list.
Folded Book Christmas Card Display
The Christmas cards will start rolling in at any time!
One of my favorite holiday projects is this one.
I'm using a vintage children's book to create a great place to hold Holiday cards. This is also a great way to recycle old books that have been discarded from the library.
There never seems to be enough space to hang Christmas cards in my house.
I've seen tons of great ideas on the internet but they all take up a lot of room.
This one has enough spaces in it to hold plenty of Christmas cards and it can sit on the coffee table so everyone can enjoy the cards.
I started this project with a piece of stained wood.
I glued the folded book to the wood then added metal trim detail from another project to the sides.

This chain with clips was being sold with tiny bottles
hanging on it for Halloween... It sure got my wheels turning. First of all how EASY would this be to make! I could make a million of them!
The chain from Home Depot and the clips are similar to these.(affiliate link)
The possibilities for decorating this chain are endless!
I was experimenting with the chain and hung tiny chalk painted pumpkins on it then hooked it on my mantel.
My mantel is a mish-mosh of a little of everything right now... I just…

Being a grandmother for the first time this summer gave me a new appreciation for baby clothes.
As the mother of four girls, I was especially excited about buying baby boy clothes for the first time.
In a bag of hand-me-down baby clothes I was surprised to find a few pairs of vintage baby socks.

The socks had such a beautiful vintage texture and color.
Who in the world would even think of putting these wool socks on the baby? They were headed for Grandma's craft room for sure! I decorated each sock with red ribbons of all kinds and vintage buttons and bows.
