Don't you just love it when you find just what you were hoping to find at the thrift store? 
You definitely have to be willing to do the work sometimes to get it just the way you want it. 
Today I'm recreating a beaded wooden tray I found with a not so good Christmas stencil on it.

Don't you just love it when you can change a thrift store find into something fabulous?! I sure do! Today I'm having some fun with a paint treatment that turned a few jars and terra cotta pots into perfect old world cement looking crocks.

Every once in a while a treasure finds its way to my front steps. Today was one of those days as I opened the door to a gift from my son-in-law's family.

It is almost like the shoemaker's children.  I paint furniture and my bedroom furniture has needed painting for years.

Once upon a time I received 2 seemingly impossible  dressers for makeovers.

A garage sale bargain at $5.00 is now my new 
craft room organization.

I was lucky enough to find an antique headboard, it was   in pretty bad shape but the pieces had a lot of potential. 

This is exactly the kind of tray that might get overlooked  at the thrift store. It was brown, stained, and pretty ugly.

This large ornate mirror was found at a garage sale and refinished in minutes for just pennies! 

A unique little basket coated with Annie Sloane Old White.

I used a graphic from the Graphics Fairy called brown Chocolat. I printed it in reverse then coated the words with Modge Podge.


I flipped the image over and smoothed out all the bubbles.

I let the paper dry then rubbed off the paper. Next I distressed with sandpaper and waxed with Annie Sloane clear wax.
