The Nut Bowl
One of my favorite things to do is to marry pieces of junk to other pieces and come up with a whole new creation.
A bowl, a door knob, and a metal pedestal turned into this adorable bowl.
A Nut Bowl I thought... Perfect!
I was just about to pour the acorns I had collected into the bowl for decoration, when I spied someone watching me from across the table.
He was looking over rather nonchalantly.
As soon as I poured the acorns into the bowl...
Pow! He was in!
Comfy as can be in the middle of my nut bowl creation.
I wasn't too sure what to do with him... he was in deep!
He looked perfectly happy and in no hurry to leave.
So I thought it best to let him stay there enjoying the new nut bowl.
after all he looked rather happy,

How to Make a DIY Kitchen Ipad Stand
Today I'm revisiting the ipad stand idea.
A few months ago I made anipad stand for myself. I decided to see if I could sell it at the local flea market... well it sold in seconds. So I'm made a couple more.
I started out with 2 old cutting boards from the thrift store. I added a stand to the back with old hinges and a Scrabble shelf to the front to hold the ipad.
I gave the boards 2 coats of Annie Sloan white chalk paint then aged them with dark wax and a little distressing.
I'm not stenciling these because I want them to be more generic with a vintage feel. By leaving the stands aged and distressed, they will look great in most kitchens.
The collapsable stand in the back uses a cotton ribbon to make the stand adjustable.
The ipad fits perfectly in the stand and is very sturdy.

How to Make Rustic Peg Hooks
I'm hooked on these vintage pegs!
These were vintage pegs left over from an antique bed I repurposedand were too good to throw away.
So with some driftwood lumber scraps and a little bling, I repurposed those pegs into rustic hooks.
Different woods and different bling hang in a cohesive group thanks to these uniformed brass accents.
Are you hooked? Give them a pin and share the love!
