DIY Sewing Table Makeover
An inexpensive side-of-the road find gets a little upgrade.
A couple of coats of a darker stain gave the top a richer look.
I switched the wooden knobs to vintage metal handles, there's a trick to this so check it out by clicking on the bold link.
The drawers are lined with decorative paper.
And the old cast-off table is ready for a new life
as a sewing table!
I wish I could find stuff like that on the side of the road! I love the drawers. Great storage for the perfect sewing table. Good Job Susan!!
ReplyDeleteGreat find, Susan! A table this size makes a great space for creating. The two I use in my craft/sewing room were just side tables that would not have been able to fit anywhere else in our new place.
ReplyDeleteYou completely changed the looks of it. Doesn't even look like the same table!

Love your drawer Susan, I am so eager to build one for myself.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that? I need a crafting area. Not a sewing area, although I could put my sewing machine there purely for looks.

Great job! You would be out of business here, we don't have garbage pick up so there is rarely anything on the side of the road!
ReplyDeleteI went to CTS yesterday, getting junkier by the day, but if you hunt you can find some cute things! The gal who works at the front desk lives in N. Greenlawn, Centerport border. She got slammed bt Sandy, trees hitting the house, flooding etc. Just got her power back.
There will be many more homeless to feed this holiday season.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I need to live where you do. I never find things on the side of road. I like the transformation
ReplyDeleteperfect sewing table susan! quick and easy (great)transformation.

Hi - I found you on Sew Many Ways (my first visit to you) and wanted to thank you for posting this transformation. I have a question about the ribbon holder with the little black bird - could you tell us about that and give us a source? Thanks!
