How to Prepare for Your First Craft Fair

Today our library held a community craft fair/yard sale.

I was thinking about putting out a whole table of my up-cycled treasures from Homeroad Etsy.

I've had never sold anything homemade face-to-face like that before and I was a little nervous.

I fretted about it for weeks and in the end I chickened out and decided to go with yard sale items instead.

But since I promised a friend I would try, I brought 4
handmade items just to see how they would sell.

And here they are...
(recognize the chicken wire cloche?)

Well, to my great surprise... in 5 minutes, 3 were sold!
Before the fair even opened!

So I ran home and got more of my handmade projects!

For the rest of the day I talked up my shop, handed out my cards and sold almost everything!

So all in all it was a great day!

I learned to be brave and to put myself out there!
and oh yeah...
to wear sunscreen even if you don't think you'll need it!
