Vintage Angel Ornaments
I tore out pages, rolled them into cones and glued them leaving the torn edges.
Check out what you can do with the rest of the book.
Next, I stapled 6 cones together at the tips.
I applied glitter glue along the yellowed edges of the paper.
I used gold but any color will do.
Many thanks to the Graphics Fairy's beautiful images.
I chose an angel, printed it on card stock and cut out only the head and arms.
I then used the glitter glue again to highlight the wings and headband of the angel.
Next, I hot glued the angel to the cones.
I attached a circle of silver card stock to the back of the ornament for stability and attached a gold string through the opening.
This made a beautiful vintage paper ornament!
Imagine a whole tree filled with these beauties!
Sweet little project. Love your new blog look, btw.
ReplyDeleteSusan, that's beautiful! What a clever idea and a great project! I could see a bunch of these on a Christmas tree or even hanging off chair backs.
ReplyDeleteLove it, I'm bookmarking this.....thanks for sharing! Warm Hugs,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love using book pages for anything -- the glitter on the angel and dress is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteYour angel ornament is really pretty :-) The dress made from dictionary pages is a great idea, and the glitter accents are the perfect embellishment :-)

This is beautiful. Again you are getting creative ideas popping in my head.
ReplyDeleteI recently cleaned out a home with hundreds of books, too many to read in a lifetime, and some not in good enough condition to donate.
Have to love that Graphics Fairy, don't we. :)
