Vintage Window Shelf From Old Window

Vintage windows are being used everywhere
and when a friend dropped off a few to me, there was
no shortage of ideas out there.

Vintage windows can be made into beautiful projects.

I started out by scraping down the chippy paint that was already falling off.

I had several scrap boards in my workshop and I cut one to the width of the window and attached it to the bottom with wood glue, nails, and metal brackets.

I used white chalky paint to paint both sides of the window with a coat of white.

I added large D rings to the back of the window and hung it in studs on the wall over the bed.

I'd show you the whole room but unlike other home and garden bloggers, my room is not always perfect.

My decor right now is completely neutral with a pop of turquoise color in the pillows and the rug.

  3. This is so very creative! I've got quite a few windows in my garage and I've never been too interested in the ways I've seen them reused no matter how beautiful but, this is something I could see myself doing. Thank you for the inspiration. Pinning & sharing!
