LOVE pillow!

"love" pillows!
And what a great Valentine for someone...
a "love" pillow!

As usual, I began with a Home Depot painters drop cloth...

I wrote the word "love" on my computer in a pretty font
and printed it out.

Next I taped the print-out to card stock and used my craft knife to cut out both layers of paper.
I used spray adhesive to stick the stencil to the fabric.
Now it is time to stencil.
I use a oil based pot paint to get a shaded effect.

I used a swirling motion with my stencil brush to fill
in the stencil.

I lifted off the stencil and let it dry overnight.

I sewed around the pillow leaving one side open.
I stuffed the pillow with fiber fill, pinned it closed, and hand sewed the last side of the pillow.

I sewed tassels on to each of the 4 corners of the pillow.

Finished!
And very love-ly!

While I was at it I made 6 to give out as Valentine gifts!
