I may have just invented a beautiful new speckled Robin's egg blue color for the Spring.
And it was actually quite by accident!
I began with a plain wooden bowl and I wanted to paint only the inside for this project.
I thought about painting it white or trying a new blue stain...
First I thought I would stain it with
spray on paint stain in a color called
Broken China Blue that I was anxious to try.
The color wasn't what I wanted so I wiped it off... or so I thought.
When the bowl dried I began painting it with
Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.Raw silk is a beautiful warm white.
Little did I know but the blue stain had leached into the wood and it mixed with the
Raw Silk when I painted the bowl.
I let the first coat dry, thinking it would seal before I gave the bowl another coat of
Ra…
