Fan Cover Photo Display
This was just what I was looking for!
It was rusty alright, but not the right kind of rusty...
So I had to spray paint it... I used a metallic black.
I let it dry and that was it... I hung it up!
Yeah, I'm glad I bought that!
I hope you enjoyed this project and you'll take a look at my Amazon Shop for craft supplies I recommend. Also while you're here please sign up for the Homeroad emails on my sidebar so I can send my latest DIY post straight to you.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! It has such a great architectural look and such a fun piece to hang pictures from. I'm looking at my old fan in my office as I write this. I can see it's potential but I think I'll just have to find a really cheap one that I don't mind taking apart.
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks like a pic out of a pottery barn catalog.

Love it...I've hung pictures off of an old fan before but never actually thought to remove the cover and hang it on the wall! So cute and clever :) Chat soon, Laurel
ReplyDeleteLOVE these kind of projects!!! Great upcycle!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea and it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love it when people can see beyond an items normal function. You have a great eye! I love this.
ReplyDeleteSusan, how creative is this and it brings back such memories at my granmama's who had a fan just like this and we would sing into it and attach clothes pins with paper and ribbon and streamers to make them go flap, flap, but the coolest thing of all was when she'd put up the cots on the screened-in back porch and place a block of ice in a washtub in front of the fan and turn it on -- free A C she called it! The coolness from that fan blown ice and mist of pure chill is very precious; you have been blessed with the Spirit of Like Imagination my dear and to read to children in a library, oh my I could tell stories there. I love libraries. Keep sharin' those blessings to all those adorable children, you will not be forgotten. Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepa.com
