A Florence Spring Crate

The color Florence just makes me happy...
The Annie Sloan chalk paint color Florence is a beautiful,
bright, teal green. The perfect color for spring!

Today I built a little crate using repurposed
parts from other projects...

I knew right away the perfect color for this crate was Florence...

I left the handle natural, then gave the whole crate
a coat of CeCe Caldwell's dark wax...
I'm not partial to any paint company, I just know what works!

CeCe Caldwell's dark stain is oily until it dries, it goes on
smoothly and really gives colors as well as natural wood
a beautiful aged appearance.

This crate will be sporting natural colored
Easter grass this season filled with dark chocolate eggs!

  1. Beautiful color! I think the bunny likes it ;-)

  2. Thanks for the tip about the paint, I will have to see if I can find that in my area.

  3. I love this caddy Susan and the finish. I can picture the dark chocolate eggs contrasting nicely with the color of the caddy:)

  4. what a sweet little caddy/crate Susan! enjoying spring break this week? is the snow gone?

  5. Florence is a happy color....and a cute paint color name. I am glad you told me about your camera. I have to keep things simple on the photography side since I, like you, would probably rather build something instead of read directions to an expensive camera. I have ADD when things get technical. Have a great Easter!
