White Hutch Topper
The top piece to an old dresser caught my
eye as I drove by a pile of junk on the side of the road.
I thought it would make the perfect hutch top for
this piece I painted a while back.
I painted the top white with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint
then gave it a coat of clear wax.
The wooden top is a great compliment to the marble base.
Putting another side-of-the-road find to good use!

You would NEVER believe those pieces weren't meant to be together - what an excellent find - and a beautiful makeover on both pieces!

How can this be? You found this on the side of the road? Unbelievable...never seen the like. Great save! Lovely job.
ReplyDeleteKaren it was in a big pile put out for the garbage man, other than paint it was perfect.... too bad everyone doesn't know about recycling, our land fills would be empty!
DeleteYou really scored! It looks amazing and one would never tell that you married the two. That wooden top gives the piece that something special!

ReplyDeleteWow, I never even see anything out on trash day except the trash containers and the gargage bags sitting beside them because they won't fit inside. What a great find. Were you able to rescue anything else from the pile? Great work!
