An Ugly Duckling Dresser Makeover

Once upon a time I received 2 seemingly impossible
dressers for makeovers.

Believe it or not... this is one of the dressers before...
The Ugly Duckling.

The first one was turned into a rolling wine cart.

It was really a stunning makeover for an almost impossible task and right now it is enjoying life in the home of a client.
And now for the other dresser... The beautiful swan!

First I gave this old dresser a good sanding to remove all the chips of old paint and to smooth out the surface for painting.

I removed the 2 bottom drawers and added a piece of wood
for a shelf in the center.

I painted the piece with Fusion Mineral Paint in Inglenook Ocean. It is a gorgeous color!

The top drawer remained... I painted the inside in a light grey

Can you believe this is even the same dresser?

I am loving Fusion Mineral Paint for this project.

The coverage was fantastic and the best part is that it has a built in sealer so I'm done!

I added small chalkboards to the baskets to finish off the look...

This little swan didn't even make it to the shop... my daughter snatched it right up and it is living happily ever after in her home.
