Antique Jello Tin Pedestal Dish Craft
Some pieces just speak to me when I see them...
This antique jello mold was one of them.
I immediately thought it would make a gorgeous pedestal dish.
I added pieces from my shop. I love finding pieces in
my stash that fit together. These pieces are not only
glued with E6000, they are screwed together too for
long lasting durability.
When all the pieces were put together I painted the metal base
with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®. This paint sticks to metal
beautifully and the graphite color gave the piece a cohesive look.
The chair leg is painted with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint
in Kitchen Scale then dark waxed with Annie Sloan Dark Wax.
This pedestal dish turned out just as I had hoped
when I first saw the antique jello mold hanging on
the wall in the Simply Shabby Shop.

One of my favorite repurposed stands! The mold is great!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Carlene! I love this one too and it was funny, I pictured it in my head the minute I saw it hanging in the shop :)
