DIY Stenciled Burlap Memo Board
Are you a coffee lover like I am?
I am a lover of all things coffee so when I found this coffee stencil from Old Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiors.
I'm using this stencil on everything!
There are several different stencils to choose from and
these are a few of my favorites.
This time I stenciled a piece of old, wrinkled burlap
using the same process.
When the stencil was dry, I wrapped the burlap around a
wooden frame ... stapling it all the way around.
I used thick jute to criss cross the front of the memo board, using screws to secure the jute to the sides.
Next I antiqued small clothespins to use to hang notes and photos to the memo board.
You can read about How to Antique Clothespins.
This recipe is great for aging new wood as well.
The burlap message center looks just like I used an old coffee sack to create it... wrinkles, stains and all!
