How to Make a Red Pallet Christmas Tray

I'm having so much fun making rustic Christmas trays!

I made a white Christmas tray using Old Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiors.
I loved it so much I'm keeping it but that didn't stop me from making a few more. An Instagram friend requested a red tray so here it is.
I used red chalky paint for the tray and green for the trees with gold stars.

When the paint dried I used an electric sander to distress the edges then dark wax over clear wax over the top.

  3. Great little tray, love the color and stencil. The link to Funky Junk Interiors is broken and I can't locate the actual tray on the site. I'm wondering what the best dimensions are for this tray.

    1. Hi Susan thank you so much for letting me know. I fixed the link so it should work for you now. You can make the tray any size you want to. I usually make mine 24" long and 3 boards wide depending on the size of the boards you are choosing. It is entirely up to you! :) Thanks for your message!
